My name is Ron Drescher. I am an attorney
practicing in bankruptcy and commercial litigation and I
practice in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania. Today
I want to talk about the different kinds of liens that are created
to protect debt obligations. Second kind of lien is a consensual
lien; this is what we usually think of as a mortgage or
deed of trust or a security interest that you give to secure
the payment of a car loan; or a loan that you take out to buy a
home; or when you refinance a home. These are liens but they
are consensual liens and frequently they are enforced by foreclosure
if there is a default in the repayment of that debt. My
name is Ron Drescher. I am an attorney practicing in bankruptcy
and commercial litigation and if you have a question about
any of these concepts I would love to hear from you. Thank you very
much for watching this video.
