We’ve got a peculiar situation you can
relate to, perhaps. Today John decided to go out for
lunch with his friend Steve. John is destitute – his very very poor,
therefore he vociferously asks Steve to pay for the lunch. The next day
arrives and our destitute friend John decides to go out for lunch with his
female friend Kate. Surprisingly, John insists on paying the bill despite his
lack of money because he wants to impress Kate. This is what is called
“double standard”. A double standard is a rule or principle which is applied
differently and unfairly to different groups of people. What double standards
have you encountered in your life? Let me know in the comments! What do you think
we could do to avoid being involved into double standards? I would love to read
your opinion about it. Okay? Press the thumbs up button if you liked the video,
