Hello and welcome to 60 Seconds with
Sergio. I am your host, Sergio Cabanas, founder, president of the Cabanas Law Firm, and attorney-at-law. One of the most common questions I get
is Sergio, How Do I Make Sure That my Pet is Taken Care of in the Event of my Disability or Death? Well, if you’re a dog lover like I am, I do care about my pet and there are ways to take care of them in the event of your disability and death through something called a trust which is a legal document wherein you
could set aside some money and even designate a caretaker to care for your
pet during their life. Now when I say money, well, obviously a
dog can’t go shopping at Macy’s to buy their favorite ties. Usually dogs don’t need money right? But that money is really earmarked, or set aside, for that designated caretaker to take care of the dog for such necessities as food and
any boarding that they need, vet care, veterinarian care. Anything that they
need that money is earmarked and set aside specially for that pet or if you
have more than one pet many pets. I hope that information was helpful for you. Now remember, the purpose of these videos is to provide some general guidance on commonly asked questions. Of course, this is not a substitute for sitting down with attorney in a face-to-face meeting to learn more about how the law applies
to specifics of your case. We here at the Cabanas Law Firm stand ready, willing, and able to help you in every way we can. So, if you’d like to learn more about
wills, trusts, and estates and watch more videos relating to that topic feel free
to click right there. Thank you again for watching 60 Seconds with Sergio. We look forward to helping you and seeing you soon. Thank You and Good Luck.
