[MUSIC PLAYING] GREG WYSHYNSKI: Hey, everyone. I’m Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo Sports and here are this week’s Yahoo fantasy hockey awards and superlatives. Hey! Weren’t the Devils Supposed to Suck? Award goes to Kyle Palmieri of New Jersey, who had four goals and five assists in a six-game stretch for a Devils team that=perhaps to the detriment of their long-term planning– does, in fact, not suck so far this season. The Ryan Miller Probably Is Feeling “Emo” About This Award goes to Ryan Miller of the Vancouver Canucks, who gave up 10 goals on 73 shots last week. Now, Corey Crawford actually gave up 11 goals last week, but at least he got you a win. Ryan Miller is sans win. The Injury Bummer Award goes to Ondrej Palat of the Tampa Bay Lightning, whose ankle injury will shelve him for about five weeks and could affect several players on a Lightning team that is scoring as much as I did in high school, which was not a lot. [TROMBONE PLAYING] Sad trombone noise. The You Guys Know that Oscar Lindberg Is Pretty Good Award, right, goes to Oscar Lindberg of the New York Rangers, who had three goals and two assists in his last five games, and is currently the rookie goals leader. Uh, he’s not going anywhere, folks, so jump on him if he’s still available. The Fantasy Norris Through One Month Award goes to John Klingberg of the Dallas Stars, who has 15 points in his first 15 games and is starting to get a lot of notice around this league. He’s owned in 91% percent of Yahoo pools. See if anyone’s dumb enough to move him to you. He’s very good. Least Valuable Player of the Week in fantasy goes to Patrick Hornqvist. Now, the Pittsburgh Penguins didn’t have the best western road swing, and Hornqvist didn’t either. No goals, no assists, and a minus 4 with just four shots on goal for a guy owned in 68% of Yahoo leagues. That is brutal. Fantasy MVP of the Week. You know, it was a close one between Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks, who had seven points, and Tyler Seguin of the Dallas Stars, with six. But we’re not giving it to a skater this week. No. This award goes to Jake Allen of the St. Louis Blues, who had two wins and gave up just three goals on an absurd 106 shots. Plus, he pitched a shutout. He saved nearly everything, including your week, probably. I’m Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo Sports. This been the Yahoo fantasy hockey awards and superlatives for the week.
